How To Deal With Disappointments

I think disappointments are a part of our life journey and they make you stronger, wiser, and more realistic.

We all have experienced disappointments in various situations in our lives. Do you remember how you reacted to those situations and how you felt about those disappointments?

Obviously, you felt miserable...

However, do you know you can control feeling miserable, whenever you are disappointed on anything or anyone?

This is how it happens...

· Allow yourself to wallow

When you feel disappointed, take a moment, and analyse the incident as well as what caused you to feel disappointed. This will help you to identify the exact reason for the disappointment and will give you a lesson which benefits not to be disappointed in the future for similar scenarios. But remember, don't be too hard on yourself.

· Choose your emotions on disappointment

You are the master of your own mind and you always can choose whether to be happy or sad. I know the disappointments make you miserable and unhappy. But, if you think further, you will realise that instead of being sad about the disappointments, you can learn a lesson from that and move on your life to the next level. Everything has a negative side and a positive side. It's our duty to see the right side which makes us happy.

· Don't take others opinion to your heart

“When you win, don't take it to your head...

When you lose, don't take it to your heart...”

This is the most important thing when you feel disappointed. Some people enjoy others sorrow and they always tell you the things that make you more miserable and it's your job to choose whom to listen.

· Put out your emotions

Don't keep your disappointments or any feeling arose from the disappointments in your head or heart. This is where the journaling comes to the play. You can list your all disappointments along with the reason for the disappointment and your impression on the disappointment. This will help you to clear your mind and move on your life.

If you follow these simple steps whenever you are disappointed, you will overcome the sad miserable feelings arise from the disappointments.

The most important thing is to know that the displacements are part of our lives and we can use them for our upswings.
