How To Cut Down Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts.... sounds familiar...?

Having negative thoughts is common. Here I don’t address it as an issue either.

However,

Having negative thoughts constantly is an issue and it can cause so many negative things in your life such as...


· Slow down your personal growth

· Attract more negative thoughts

· Start to judge everything and everyone

· Attract toxic people in your life

· Lack of confidence

· Anxiety

· Depression

Good news is ... we can eliminate these negative thoughts and can be more positive...

How to...

· Be aware of your negative thoughts

You are the master of your own mind. Don’t let mind to control your thoughts. You take the power of controlling your thoughts and try to identify the reasons for your negative thoughts.

(the reason could be hungry, sleepy or tiredness)

Identifying the reason help you to control the negative feelings (ex/ sad, anger) that generates from negative thoughts.

· Try to get rid of the sources of negative thoughts

The source could be negative people who always talk about negative things, movies , books or tv series which has too much of negativity and tragedy.

· Work with an open mind set

Sometimes your self-limiting beliefs make you see the negativity in everything you do, because thinking of negativity is more easier than embracing positivity.

Getting rid of self-limiting beliefs and try not to attach too much to the result helps you to accept anything without negative thoughts. In that way you will eventually start to see the positive side of everything.

· Practice mindfulness breathing exercise

You can meditate 5 to 7 minutes per day and it will help you to make things slowdown in order to identify and eliminate negative thoughts.

· Maintain a positive morning routine

The first few thoughts you have in the very first part of the day is ruling the rest of your day. Therefore, having a positive and lovely morning routine is important.




· Practice gratitude

For me, writing my gratitude journal makes me a more positive person than ever. I write my gratitude journal in both morning and night, since I want to start my day being grateful for what I have and end my day with a grateful heart for the day.

Once you start to be grateful for all the blessings you have, eventually you start to feel positive energy around you and you can be grateful the things you have whenever you have negative thoughts.

· Journaling

Maintaining a journal can reduce stress and helps to clear your mind. Clear mind help you to identify the reason for your negative thoughts and make solutions for them or see the positive side of them.

Again, I’m telling you that having negative thoughts is normal. The only thing we can do is reducing of having them and try to be more positive.
