Finding Ikigai...

Ikigai is a Japanese concept, which means the reason for living. This concept was originated in the Japanese island of Okinawa, where the largest population of Centenarians in the world.

According to the people in Okinawa, we all have Ikigai.

Perhaps you may already have found your Ikigai or sometime you may not.

Don’t worry.. at the end of this article, you will be able to discover your own Ikigai…

As I said earlier, Ikigai is the reason for living and this could be your career, your passion or anything that you love to do without getting exhausted.

The most exciting part is you can make your living through your Ikigai once you discover it… But you have to be patient.

This is where mindfulness living comes to play. You need to slow down and pay attention to yourself along with your instinct. You are going to find out your life purpose which is what you are born for. Therefore it is better if you can get a little bit of help of journaling because we are trying to regenerate ourselves.

You can make your living by doing the things that cover all four categories and that is your Ikigai.

As per the book of “Ikigai The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life”, Hector Garcia said discovering your own Ikigai is said to bring fulfilment, happiness and make you live longer.

You don’t have to make things complicated to find out your Ikigai. You can start small and make your journey more connected with your self because otherwise you will be fed up at the beginning of your great discovery. Other important fact is you don’t have to change who you are and your values to find out your reason for living unless they are unhealthy or toxic. The most important part that you need to remember is whatever you do or whatever you discovered as your Ikigai needs to make you happy and content.

These are the basics that you need to discover your Ikigai.
