Why Do Always Bad Things Happen To Good People?

Writer's picture: mymindfulnesslivingmymindfulnessliving

This is one of the frequent questions that we ask and most of the time we consider this question rhetorical. In another way, this has become one of the universal truths. Sometimes we tend to ask this question from God or the universe and at the end, the conclusion is “life is unfair”. Wait and think for a moment... Before you ask this question, do you think that you are going to ask this on what rationale? Here, you emphasis strictly as “good people”. How do you know that they are good? How do you categorise good and bad? If you are 100% good, what is the guaranty that bad things won’t happen to you? Therefore, it is vital to understand, things are happening for everyone whether they are bad or good.  When it comes to bad things, it happens to everyone regardless of that person is good or bad. The way that you know something bad has happened to someone is by seeing that person’s behaviour. If someone always seems to be happy, that doesn't mean he doesn’t have any problems. It's just you don't know it... ”It’s not always the tears that measure the pain, sometimes it’s the smile we fake” Perspective of this matter is varied based on your beliefs. Let's say we all think that everything is happening according to God’s plan or God’s will. We can think of it as a plan of the universe too. Then bad things that occurred to us also could be a part of the initial plan. I don't think that any of you might think that God or the universe is trying to drag you down.

The way that you must see those awful things that emerged to you as God's test or a quest of the universe to make you robust for a greater future. If you can take all the horrible things that occurred to you as a challenge, you can beat up all the bad things that happened to you. As Darwinian evolutionary says “only the strongest survive” it can be applied to our world too and you can be a part of it. Are you exhausted so far?

Well drink some water and get a deep breath. Because what I’m going to tell you next is going to be a part of your life for the rest of your life. If you think that terrible stuffs are transpiring only to good people and it should be the other way around which is, bad should happen only to bad people, how could you be a good one? Did you get confused? Let me be clear to you.

Think from the bottom of your heart; are you a good person? If so, why does all the worst things keep on coming to my bucket. Slow down for a while. Take a look back and see the journey you have travelled so far. Aren’t those obstacles and challenges were what kept you where you are right now and stand from the crowd?  If you are going to accomplish a great future, the obstacles are blessings that make your path more excited and at the end, those obstacles will add extra value to your success.   ”You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” -Maya Angelou” In the other hand, the acceptance of the bad things or the pain that arose from them depends on the situation. Let's say there is a lady who suffers from labor pain. But her relatives are happy about that because she is going to deliver a baby. That means, even though the labor pain is awful, the result is wonderful. Therefore every nasty thing that happened or happening in our life for a reason. Its our choice to make them as our motive to our voyage.  ”Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adversity and stumble from defeat to defeat”.    -Anais Nin- Now you know that bad things or obstacles are happening to everyone regardless of their good or bad. And also you know if you can see those obstacles as a challenge or a quest, you can turn them into a blessing to your journey. Now you can say ”try me” instead of ”why me” whenever shit happens to you.  "Everybody’s been abandoned, everybody’s been forgotten, everybody’s been tired of being alone and everybody’s been left empty handed at least once in their lifetime. So remember you’re not alone!" -Nickelback- Hope you enjoyed the reading and thank you for joining with me. What is your opinion?
